On 29 June 2016, PLS organises the closing conference of the European project ANEETS on innovative forms of apprenticeship for NEETs - young people "Not in Education, Employment or Training" - across Europe. The event will be held from 9 am to 2 pm in Brussels.

All actors working towards the inclusion of vulnerable youth - training centres, local agencies, companies, policy makers, representatives of the authorities and administrations, NGOs and all interested persons - are invited to discover and discuss the project results at this European conference.

Too many vulnerable young people are excluded across Europe

The finding is challenging: about 7.5 million young NEETs aged 15-24 and 6 million aged 25-30 are currently excluded from the labour market and the education system in Europe (Eurostat). The project ANEETS aims to highlight innovative practices of apprenticeship set up by Belgian, French, Irish and Spanish companies to promote the integration of young people.

A european toolkit to encourage all stakeholders to act

At the occasion of the project's closing event, a wide range of speakers - stakeholders, researchers, trade union representatives, companies' executives and Belgian and European decision makers - will take part in a debate to promote tools aiming for companies and training centres to take action on this issue. This conference will also provide networking opportunities for actors that are ready to act, or for those who have already taken steps towards the inclusion of NEETs so that they can learn from each other and share best practices.

On this occasion, the European toolkit developed within the project ANEETS will be made public!
